On the back of last week’s announcement that power bills are set to spike, The Nationals Member for Gippsland East, Tim Bull, encourages local residents to take advantage of the Power Saving Bonus.

The latest round of the $250 Power Saving Bonus opened on the 24th March and eligible households, including those that received payments under previous rounds, are encouraged to apply.

“Families, pensioners and small businesses are bracing for power price hikes in excess of 30% next year, so I urge everyone eligible to take advantage of the Power Saving Bonus,” Mr Bull said.

“The cost of living continues to spiral out of control, an extra $250 in the bank account can mean the difference between putting food on the table or heating the home.

“While this is by no means a cure-all for the hip-pocket pain people right across East Gippsland are enduring, it’s cash back at a time when people need it most.”
